PIZZA HUT OPENS IT’S FIRST STORE IN DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA

pizza2Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands, the world’s largest restaurant company, today announced the opening of its first restaurant in Tanzania.
Pizza Hut is the world’s largest pizza chain with $12 billion in global sales and more than 15,000 restaurants in over 90 countries.
Dough Works Ltd, the franchise holders of Pizza Hut for Tanzania, has worked very hard in securing Pizza Hut’s placement in the country, which shows the confidence from Yum! Brands in the Tanzanian economy and the investors of Dough Works Ltd.
Dough Works Ltd has committed to a multi million dollar investment in the Pizza Hut brand and the launch of it’s first of many stores, which is located at the newly built Mkuki Mall on Nyerere Road, Dar es Salaam.
The company has plans for rapid expansion and growth with a target of over 30 stores across the country, creating over 500 new jobs in the Quick Service Restaurant sector.
Dough Works Ltd Director Vikram Desai says “We would like to thank all the regulators and vendors for being very supportive and extending guidance on the opening of Pizza Hut in Tanzania and we look forward to working together very closely on building the QSR sector in the country.”
The new Pizza Hut restaurant features ultra-modern design, digital menu boards, a children’s play area, and indoor/outdoor seating for over 80 people.
